What in the late 1960s started as a small yard behind the family farm has grown into an international centre for motor yachts in five decades.

Nowadays, Smelne Yachtcenter is still a family company and our offer is many times wider. Our strength lies in the diversity of our products. We offer a choice of 37 models that are built completely on our yard in Drachten according to your very own design. Each luxury steel-clad Smelne motor yacht is of high quality.

Smelne has developed into a well-known brand. Traditionally, our cruisers and vlets have been known for their outstanding build quality and perfect finish. The same commitment to quality and perfection still characterises our yacht centre. We stand fully behind the motor yachts we sell. You can rely on that and hold us to it.

We are also agent for Haines motor yachts, making us responsible for the sales and distribution of Haines Marine’s various lines in Benelux and Germany. With the addition of the Nidelv S-line motor yachts to our range, we can offer you a stunning total range of new motor yachts.

You will also find a nice offer of quality pre-owned yachts. Ranging from mid-range boats to exclusive yachts. The motor yachts we have for sale are presented from our modern showroom or moored in our outside or covered floating sales marina.

You already have a boat? Of course your are also more than welcome for all kinds of maintenance, repair and refit work. We are now one of the most modern and best-equipped shipyards, with, for example, an environmentally-friendly slipway, air-conditioned spray cabins, a boat lift and a boat trailer for yachts up to 40 tonnes. We also have 2,400 m2 of space for winter storage, around 90 berths in the marina and 36 covered berths in the Smelne Marina.
