Collection and use of personal data of customers, suppliers and other contractors
We hereby inform you that we collect and use the provided personal data to be able to potentially come to an agreement and to enable us to deliver the goods and/or services. This applies to both our (potential) customers and to third parties selling goods and/or services to us.

If you are a (potential) customer, we use your data to be able to send you a quotation, to determine what specifications or desires meet your requirements, to deliver goods or perform services, to invoice you and to be able to communicate quickly and efficiently concerning the implementation of the agreement.

If you are a (potential) supplier or any other type of contractor your personal data are also required to enable us to conclude and carry out the contract. In Purchasing this is necessary to inform you about our specifications and requirements for goods and/or services, to send you a request for a quotation and to place an order, to pay your invoices and to communicate with you about other aspects of the agreement quickly and efficiently.

You are not obliged to provide us with your personal data. If you do not provide personal data to us or provide us with insufficient personal data, it is possible that we will not be able to carry out the above-mentioned activities.

Transfer to third parties
In connection with the execution of a possible agreement with you, it may be necessary to provide your personal data to parties who supply parts, materials and products to us or carry out work on our behalf. We also use external server space for the storage of (parts of) our sales and purchasing administration, which includes your personal data. For that reason, your personal data is provided to our server room provider. We also use Microsoft Office and the related storage facilities for e-mails and other files.

Direct marketing
If you place orders with us regularly, we will store and use your personal data to keep you informed by e-mail about our existing and new products and services and possibly make you an offer. We have a legitimate interest in using your personal data for this purpose, namely selling our products and services. Every time we send you a marketing e-mail, you have the option to unsubscribe. See the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each mailing.
If you are a one-time client, we will only send you marketing e-mails if you have given us your approval to do so in advance.

Retention period personal data
If you requested an offer from us, but you did not become a customer, we will delete your data ultimately one year after our last contact. If we have received an offer from you, but we have not become a customer of you, your personal data will be deleted ultimately one year after our last contact. If you have become our client or we have become yours, we will keep your personal data for a period of seven years after the end of the financial year in which the agreement with you was performed. The period of seven years corresponds to the period for which we are obliged to keep our records for the Tax Authorities. We will remove your personal data after this period has ended.

Your rights
You have the right to view your own personal data. If there is reason to do so, you can also request us to supplement your personal data or to correct inaccuracies. You also have the right to request us to delete your personal data or limit the use of your personal data. You can also object to the collection and use of your data or file a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Amendments Privacy Statement
Smelne Yachtcenter BV, Smelne Trading BV and Smelne Holding BV reserve the right to adjust this Privacy Statement. We recommend to regularly consult this Privacy Statement to stay informed about possible amendments.
