The spacious open cockpit is accessible from the gangways or from the bathing platform via the passageway in the transom and can be used for various purposes. Think of staying with a larger group or for example (sport) fishing. The wheelhouse is at the same level as the open cockpit and has a no-nonsense layout with a steering position on port side and a passenger seat on starboard. The woodwork in the forward section is modern beech and finished with stainless steel accents. The front part of the boat is divided into a kitchen, a round seat that can easily be converted into a spacious sleeping area and a sanitary room with toilet/washing facilities. All other space is functionally divided as closet/storage space.

This Alustar 980 Pilot is equipped with 2 engines (each 75 hp) that provide a top speed of over 30 km / h, but also very good for comfortable slow sailing.
